»Irgendwas mit Marx« (Something about Marx) is a media installation that explores in more detail Marx and Engels’ Communist Manifesto, which can be interactively manipulated as a result of an interaction between a visitor and the “machine”. A closer look is taken at the commercial aspect of the “celebration” of the birthyear of Karl Marx in 2018 in Trier. The visitor could scan in magazine articles, flyers or books, with the help of which the original manifesto was manipulated into a nonsense manifesto and printed on continuous paper with a dot matrix printer.
